8. An old mule fell into a well. Its owner decided that saving it would not be worth the effort. So he shoveled the dirt to bury it. After initial panic, the mule started shaking the dirt off its back each time and stepping upon it. Finally, it stepped triumphantly out of the wall of the well. What seemed like it would bury the mule actually helped to save its life. This happened because of the manner in which it handled its adversity.
THAT’S LIFE!

7. A ship’s machine stopped working. No one could set it right. Finally, an old mechanic was summoned. After a few minutes’ careful observation, he took out a hammer and gently tapped a few times at a point. The machine started working.  He sent an itemized bill: Rs. 2/- for hammering and Rs. 99,998/- for knowing where to hammer.
Effort is important but knowing where to make the effort makes all the difference.
THAT’S WISDOM.
